Our last trip out west, our kids were gifted point and shoot film cameras. Over the trip, they each snapped pictures during our travels and even had some left when we got back home to finish up with snaps around our area. Along with my color film from the trip, we sent these into Negative lab in California for processing.
I have always written off these as wedding table trinkets or the camera you buy from a souvenir store if you are on vacation and forgot yours (for you 90s kids).

When we got the scans back from the lab, I was over the moon with the results. I would have never thought to purchase these to use, so being gifted them was a great idea. Kudos to my sister for the idea! This was a really fun way to see the trip through our kids eyes and add that bit of point and shoot with flash nostalgia. Some of my favorite images from the trip came from these. As for quality of the images, these surpassed my expectations for being a consumer film and a plastic lens.
Going forward, we have already ordered more of these and will be planning to always pack one for our travels. This is a super fun way to get your kids involved and continue to document your life.
