I was in 2nd or 3rd grade the last time I had been to Circus World Museum. Even nearly 30 years ago, the circus was already dead and hanging on its glory of the early 1900’s.

Fast forward to October of 2025, it is even more gone. Circus world museum was the winter home to the Barnum and Bailey circus, aka the greatest show on earth, and is riddled with history and abandoned buildings from their years spent here. How amazing this all must have been during its peak.

Insert the Renaissance Faire.

What would be a better location to hold a gathering of thousands of people in October, than at the old Circus grounds!?! This is a perfect mix of Halloween, medieval, circus, cosplay and fall.

It was a very windy day, but overall, the show was great fun. Going to a Ren. Faire is a unique experience. There are not many places that people are this passionate about the event and seem to mold into character for the day. They are worth the visit anda perfect opportunity to carry a camera.
