Wild Spaces – Intro

I’d like to kick off another photo theme in conjunction with my “5 photos” series that has been highlighting places we have traveled to.

At the time of writing this, our family has had the ability to visit over 20 of the National Parks in the USA. “Wild Spaces” will be an ongoing series highlighting our travels through these untamed lands, but also helping draw the connection of how unique and privileged we are to have these spaces in our own backyard.

Recently, our wild spaces have been under constant attack. Political agendas are trying to shrink these irreplaceable wildlife areas and open them up for business. In our own backyard of Minnesota, the boundary waters are a frequently brought up subject to be destroyed for profit. Mining operations want its natural resources. This would not only disrupt, but pollute one of the largest chain of freshwater lakes on this continent. Every few months a new petition is out to stop these companies.

If you were able to pick up a copy of the January, 24 “Fuji Love,” you would have caught my photo essay about my travels across the country using my X Pro 2. Think of this as an ongoing continuation of that article.

Stay tuned for more soon!!
