Here are some photos of our flowers to brighten your day.
In such decisive times, it is a good reminder to step outside, take a deep breath and be in nature. We are surrounded by so much beauty, but how often do we take the time to notice it?

Flowers rely on others to pollinate. This is a biotic relationship. This was also one of the definitions my son had to learn in science class this week, so perfect timing. Imagine if a flower suddenly took the stance that it did not have to rely on the things that make it carry on, but instead, cast them aside. What if flowers decided only certain things were good enough to carry its pollen? In any of these scenarios, flowers would fail to exist.

We should learn from flowers. What makes us better than the next person? What makes you anymore important than your neighbor? When we start creating division and barriers, we are starting to accept our own demise. Flowers do not discriminate, but live beautifully in a community. It can be an ant, butterfly, bee, hummingbird, moth or even forces of nature that may come in contact with the flower. The beautiful thing? They all help create more flowers. All those vastly different things all can create something beautiful. Flowers need a diverse community as this is how they thrive. They rely on it.
If your beliefs take away someone’s ability to grow and flourish, I hate to break it to you, you are not believing in the correct thing. Our country was built on diversity. Diversity of thoughts, ideals and people. We cannot be stuck in a bubble justifying our own beliefs and supporting hate or discrimination.

“The flower that follows the sun does so even in cloudy days” – Robert Leighton
A good reminder that even during tough days, we can spread beauty, just like a flower. No matter what, the clouds will eventually part and the sun will shine.

So take a moment, go outside. Remember, we are all in this together. It is going to be much tougher each day fighting with one another instead of finding the good we each bring each day united.
