I like to keep a camera close by. At any given time, my kitchen may have 2 or 3 camera bodies sitting in it ready to go. This morning was one of those days I was glad to have one ready by my back door. I ran my dog outside before the kids headed off to school and this particular morning had this amazing fog sitting in the valley and dew dripping off everything. We had some big storms roll through last night, so the hot days followed by the wet ground usually makes fall even better by adding some fog. I grabbed my camera and spent 5 minutes wandering around the yard in the diffused light. If I kept my cameras in their camera bag in a closet or basement, I wouldn’t be able to capture these little moments that make us pause and be thankful for the beauty around us.
